The pics aren't in order..At the beginning of June we took the boys to the shooting range and Billy let them shoot the bebe gun with his help of course, Poor Mady and Chase were too young to shoot and so they stayed in the car with mommy, By the look on Chase's face he was Tired and bored.

July 5th 2010

July 5th we decided to take a drive about 30 minutes from Vernal to a town called Jensen Utah to Dinosaur National Monument to see Josie's Cabin. Austin had already been there with his second grade class for the last field trip of the year and had told us about it, so this was his second time there. We would have liked to view more of her land, but we really weren't prepared for the 1 mile hike to the Box Elder Canyon where Josie kept her pigs, the hike required walking shoes, water and bug repellent..and as you can see from the pictures the kids were in shorts, flip flops and we only had one bottle of water. So we are planning on going back prepared to view more of Josie's land. Josie Basset Morris was a mountain woman, who live in the mountain with no electricity, no phone, and had been married five times and her last husband she chased away with a frying pan!!
